Georgia Singers and Bel Canto finish up the semester
On Sunday, Dec. 8, the two female choirs, Georgia Singers and Bel Canto, finished up their music-filled semester with a concert at the First Presbyterian Church. There was a tremendous outcome of audience members or at least more than Dr. Green, the director of these choirs, had originally thought would come. The girls, including the ones from McIntosh, wore all long, black beautiful choir dresses. All the chorus members had a fabulous time performing for their audience.
Dr. Green is currently recruiting as many girls as he can get for the choirs. Georgia Singers is the top choir, in which you can only get into by invitation from Dr. Green, so it is usually made up of the older singers. Bel Canto is the younger choir for girls ranging from 6th to 12th grade who are selected by audition.
If you have a strong singing voice and would like to try this choir out starting next semester, or would even just like to know a little more about it, please email Dr. Franklin Green at [email protected]. The website is www.georgiasingers.org
