Over Labor Day Weekend,  geeks of all ages, including several McIntosh students, flocked to Atlanta for the anual event Dragon* Con. Dragon* Con is a giant convention hosted in five hotels in Atlanta. Many people use the event as an opportunity to put together intricate costumes of their favorite sci-fi, fantasy and comic book characters.

Among the attendees from McIntosh was senior Erin Walsh, who dressed as Wendy from the Disney show “Gravity Falls,” Deandra from the Youtube series “The Most Popluar Girls in School,” the woman from the Disney World ride Tower of Terror, and as Ginny Weasley from Harry Potter.

Dragon* Con is not only graced by enthusiastic fans, but also by equally enthusiastic stars. Among this year’s panelists were William Shatner, George Takei and Lou Ferrigno. Many of these stars will held multiple panels where fans asked questions about their shows and upcoming projects.

All in all Dragon* Con has an exciting air, and geeks of all ages enjoy going. From the geriatric Wonder-Women to the toddler Avengers, there are no unhappy people in the entire convention.
