How I met my favorite sitcom

Season 8 opens with everyone in a relationship. Previous seasons suggest these won’t last long.

Last year while shut in for Winter Break, I rediscovered my love for Netflix. Seeing the brand new titles recently added, I came across a show called “How I Met Your Mother.” Bored, I decided to check it out. Little did I know that the show was going to be legen-wait for it –dary.

Created by Craig Thomas andCarterBays, the show avoids clichés while keeping itself entertaining and relatable. Already it has won seven Emmys and is currently one of the most watched shows on television.

The show’s layout is the father, Ted, retelling his children how he met his wife. Through this format, they work on the idea of foreshadowing to grip the audience into watching the next episode, then the next, then the next, and then the next.

After days spent in the dark, I finally finished the first six seasons by the end of Winter Break. One can catch season eight playing Mondays on CBS as it premiered September 24. I urge all of my bros to watch this show immediately.
