The SkillsUSA Club will compete at the Region 5 championships on Thursday, February 2. This is the first competition for the members of the club representing McIntosh with their individualized talents. Events in the competition give students the opportunity to excel in everything from fashion design to job interviews.

Junior Douglas Thomas said, “I’m observing the past winners to see examples of top competitors. Hopefully, it will be for the best.”

Sophomore Leigh Wheeler said, “I am trying to come up with as many designs as I can. I also get advice as I work on my pin. I am hoping that I can win and improve my leadership skills.”
