McIntosh students begin to study, panic, and calculate grades as first semester exams approach in the coming week of Dec. 12. Freshman Nathan Anderson said, “Exams are awful, and I hate them. I need to get a 1000 on my math exam to pass the class.”

Senior Emily Blum said, “Exams suck. I have been taking exams for too many years and am not excited to take them again.”

Other students are looking on the bright side as Sophomore Sam Snyder said, “I’m glad to have my math exam out of the way.”

Some students reject exams entirely. Junior Ryan Hartman said, “I think exams are an arbitrary form of calculating students’ success and make students overly panicked.”
