Ms. Maria Ramsey has given her students the opportunity to earn 10 extra credit points towards the test category if they paint a canvas from a provided list of Hispanic artists’ works. This list includes famous, well-known artists, such as Pablo Picasso, Frida Kahlo and Salvador Dalí.  These acrylic masterpieces must be submitted by Monday, May 8. Students will present their art to their classes and include information about the original artist’s name, the original name of the painting, and the style of painting used. They must also give brief explanations of why they chose the artist and painting that they did.

Sophomore Katie Thompson said, “This is a great opportunity for those interested in giving their grade a little boost, and even though I’m not the most talented artist, I still will be turning a canvas in.”
