McIntosh band performs their holiday concert

The Wind Symphony plays “Prelude,” “Siciliano” and “Rondo” for the first time in front of a large group of people.

McIntosh band held a holiday concert on Dec. 9. Performers included the two percussion ensembles, the Symphonic Band (1st period), Wind Symphony (3rd period), a flute ensemble (composed of Wind Symphony members) and the Wind Ensemble (4th period). Sophomore and French horn player student Kacie Miller said, “I think everyone did well, but I know that I messed up a couple of really important notes.” The percussion ensembles played three songs: “Good King Wenceslas,” “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” and “Visions of Sugar Plums.”

The Symphonic Band played three songs: “Bell Carol Fantasy,” “Christmas Pipes” and “Christmas Classics.”

The Wind Symphony played two songs: “Prelude, Siciliano and Rondo” and “A Christmas Festival.”

The flute ensemble played two songs: “Carol of the Bells” and “Sparkling Lights.”

The Wind Ensemble played four songs: “Whisper to their Souls,” I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” “Big Noise from the North Pole” and “Gaudete.”
