Caroline Chang
Senior Caroline Chang (17) loves spending her time playing soccer for the school during the spring sports season. She has lettered two times and is going for her third this year. She plays defense for the nationally ranked Lady Chiefs soccer team. Soccer and Genji, her dog, drive her passions. She first gained her passion for soccer after watching Kelley O’Hara, a local girl, and the United States of America national team destroy their opponents. Genji is a plump white mutt, but Caroline and Genji are an inseparable duo: Genji and Caroline are always together when Caroline is home. Caroline says one of Genji’s favorite activities is to snuggle her while she does her homework. Caroline was born in January 1998 and has lived in Peachtree City all her life. She said that she cannot wait to graduate and start a new chapter in her life. Caroline originally joined journalism thanks to some encouragement from editor Connor Whittle and her other friends. She is excited about writing about sports and the esteemed academics at McIntosh. Caroline expects to bring a relaxed sports commentator style of writing to the class. Besides her varsity letters, Caroline is an academic student. She is completing her fifth year of Spanish and hopes to go to attend Auburn University next year. At Auburn, she wishes to study in the business school and hopes to become a businesswoman working for Apple if possible. She said she “dreams of living in a penthouse in New York City.” Caroline describes herself as an introvert, but she says that when she is confident in herself and her knowledge, she can be an extrovert.
