McIntosh Trail

Austin Carmichael, Staff Writer
Freshman Austin Carmichael is a first-year member of the Trail staff. He was born on December 5, 2002, in Atlanta, Georgia. He has been interested in writing since a young age and decided to continue learning to become a better writer by joining the newspaper. Austin attended Kedron Elementary School and JC Booth Middle School before attending McIntosh and has lived in Peachtree City for more than five years. He maintained a straight A average throughout eighth grade and plans to do the same at McIntosh. Austin runs for the JV Cross Country team and also plays guitar outside of school. He is a big fan of rock and metal bands such as Guns ‘N Roses, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, and Metallica, but also enjoys listening to '80s pop acts such as Michael Jackson and Journey. Austin hopes to someday become an author or a musician and believes that being on the newspaper will help him to someday achieve those goals. He plans on writing many music reviews and creative writing pieces along with current events articles. Austin is excited about what high school has to offer and plans to take advantage of as many opportunities as possible in order to become a more well-rounded person.
