Baseball plays in the first round of sectionals

The varsity baseball team played Thomas County Central in the first round sectionals of the playoffs on Friday, April 29. Game One finished 2-1 with McIntosh pulling ahead because of a home run by sophomore Dane Kinamon. Senior Daniel Blair pitched all seven innings racking up a total of 11 strikeouts. In Game Two the score was 8-3 with McIntosh winning the second game, taking the series and moving on to the next round of the playoffs.

Coach David Munoz, said “Game Two had a solid start from [senior] Zach Sanders. [Senior] Christophe Senghor closed the game on the mound and went 4-5 at the plate leading the offense. It was a great team effort, and now we travel to Arabia Mountain on May 3 at 2 pm and 4 pm. The games will be a challenge.”
