Chiefs beat Mt. Zion in semifinals and advance to region championship
On February 17, the Chiefs took on the Mt. Zion Bulldogs in the semifinals of the region tournament. The game was close the entire time with the teams almost always within a couple of points of each other. The Chiefs, however, stepped up on defense with the clock running down to hold onto a 50-48 win.
The Chiefs will take on the Mundy’s Mill Tigers today at 8:30 at McIntosh in the region championship game, and this is the first time McIntosh has reached this point in the tournament. The team is requesting that fans fill the student section to support them.
