In the school newsletter, it was revealed that on Oct. 5 and onward, free breakfast will be served in the cafeteria from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. In addition to the free breakfast, meals will also be free during lunch.
“The free breakfast program will continue until Dec. 31 or until the federal grant money runs out,” said the District Office of School Nutrition in the newsletter.
The federal grant referenced refers to one from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Beginning during, this grant was a response to the pandemic, which prevented food-insecure children from getting meals during quarantine. This program will end after the fall semester.
