McIntosh elects student body representatives

The past few weeks have been hectic for McIntosh’s SGA (Student Government Association) students. Candidates scrambled for positions, which were president, vice president, secretary, and parliamentarian. Hundreds of carefully decorated posters and colorful flyers were hung on school walls, one candidate even promoted her campaign by posting a picture on the morning announcements.

The presidential candidates were seniors Logan Austin, Jessii Smith and Demetrius deMoors. The vice president candidates were juniors Andrew Russell, Andrea Zayas, and Sue Liang. The secretary position automatically went to junior Adam Wayton, as he was the only candidate. And finally, the parliamentarian candidates were juniors Thomas Gotilla and Spencer Obsitnik.

The winners were Logan Austin for president, Andrea Zayas for vice president, Adam Wayton as secretary, and Spencer Obsitnik as parliamentarian.

Congratulations to our new student body representatives!
