February is Black History Month, an annual celebration to recognize African Americans and their role in U.S. History. This was started by Carter G. Woodson in 1976, and people have used this month to honor African Americans who have made contributions to American history.
This year, the Trail has decided to take a different approach to Black History Month. We decided to focus on the people: the people who have inspired us and the people who are in close proximity with us every day.
