The Lady Chiefs warm up at Grady High School before competing in the elite 8 game to advance into semi-finals.

The Lady Chiefs soccer team played Chamblee on May 2. The girls won with a final score of 6-0, advancing them into the elite 8 for states.

Sophomore Stephanie Yi said, “The game was very exciting. We played very hard as a team  and created many opportunities for each other on the field.”

The team then traveled to Grady High School to compete in the elite 8 on May 9. Winning with a score of 2-0, the team advances into the final four game on May 12.

Senior Taylor Malasek said, “Playoffs are like a final exam for soccer. All year the team has been studying hard learning about how other teams play; playing hard games to test how our team handles the tough situations. Pushing our physical ability during practices has allowed us to get this far in the playoffs, and I hope it can take us the rest of the way.”
