The McIntosh girls golf team will compete at the regional playoffs at Cotton Fields in McDonough on May 2. If the team does well, they will advance to compete at state playoffs, which would be a first in McIntosh girls golfing history as the team has never advanced past regionals before. The top four girls on the golf team are going to compete.

Freshman Claire Walker said, “I have worked really hard all season to hone my game. I’m prepared for these 18 holes, and hopefully, I will do well enough to help my team advance to state finals.”

The season so far has been a rocky road where the girls team had to endure some tough loses. In one particular game, the team lost to Starr’s Mill High School. Junior Hayley Gill said,”I loved playing against Starr,s Mill as I got to compete against one of my friends. Sadly, we lost, but this just encouraged me to practice even harder.”
