The McIntosh varsity men’s soccer team took on Johnson High School on Tuesday, Feb. 28. The game against Johnson was an out-of-region match up. The team was coming off a loss to Dalton HS on Saturday, Feb. 25. The game was evenly played until the second half when McIntosh scored a goal to go up 1-0. The Chiefs held off Johnson for the remainder of the game; the final score was 1-0.
They also played Fayette County, a region match up, on Thursday March 2. Fayette was 2-2 before the matchup. Christian Dattilo opened up the scoring with the first goal coming around the 20 minute mark in the first half. The Chiefs never surrendered the lead and won 5-0.
Senior Sean Gravely said, “I’m proud of how the team bounced back after the tough loss on Saturday.”
