The cross country team traveled to Douglasville, Ga., for the Alexander Invitational at the Fox Hall Sporting Club on Saturday Oct. 8. Sophomore Zach Jaeger lead the boys varsity team and placed first overall with a 5k time of 16:22. Freshman Megan Uszynski also finished first with a time of 19:03.

The girls varsity team placed first, and the boys varsity placed third for 5A-7A schools participating in the meet. Zach said,”I wanted to quit the whole time but knew I couldn’t. This was the hardest I’ve ever run, and I’m proud of myself for doing my best.” The cross country regional championship is at Heritage Christian Church in Fayetteville on Oct. 22.
