The varsity tennis team warms up before a match. The Chiefs went 1-2 in the tournament.

The Boys tennis team competed against some of the top 6A teams in the state Feb. 26 and 27 at Kennesaw Mountain High School. They played Hillgrove High School from Powder Springs and won 4-1. Sophomore Ryan Wax and junior Harry Immel won their singles matches, and both doubles teams, the team of junior Caleb Minor and senior Blake Liming and the team of juniors Kevin Liow and Connor Whittle, won their matches as well.

Saturday morning, the teams played Woodstock High School from Woodstock, who competed at the state tournament in 2015, and lost all five matches. Saturday afternoon, they switched up their lineup because both seniors Connor Wax and BlakeLiming were sick. They lost 5-0 to Lowndes High School from Valdosta, who made it to the Final Four of the state tournament last year. The boys team plays away against Forest Park on March 3.
