Track team competes at county championship

The track team competed at the Chick-fil-a County Championship on Saturday, March 14. Both varsity teams placed second at the meet.

Sophomore Rachel Ward won the 3200 meter race and placed 4th in the 1600 meter race with a time of 5:50. Junior Nicole Zaubi placed second in the 3200 meter race. Junior Alyssa LeClaire placed first in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:24. Sophomore Keaton Wimbish won the discus with a throw of 130 ft and 3 inches.

Junior Denver Williams said, “I feel like we did very well at this meet, but we were out numbered by Starr’s Mill.”
