Freshmen react to Supreme Court nominee

President Donald Trump announced his Supreme Court nominee of Neil Gorsuch on Tues., Jan. 31. Gorsuch will be filling the vacancy left by Antonin Scalia who died last year. Scalia had served since 1986 according to biography.com.

Freshman Tobi Tega said, “I feel he is well deserving of this job because of his education, and he should be a good fit.”

Freshman Bao Troung said, “He should be able to do what he needs to represent the country well, and I hope he can have a good career.”

Gorsuch is 49 years old and will likely hold his position for decades to come.
