Freshmen biology classes worked on a virus lab on Tuesday, March 14. The point of the lab was to show how quick illness and disease can spread. Students started with a cup of water, which may or may not have been infected. They poured a base into a cup to determine the color, and then they shared their water with other students and documented with whom they shared water. In the end the class was able to determine who got the infected cup at the beginning of the lab.

Freshman Lathan Kinard said, “The lab really helped me learn about the unit, and it was exciting at the end to figure out who started with the virus.”

Freshman Nick Austin said, “I liked watching the base change the water color and waiting to see if your cup would change or not.”

The class is working on the classification unit.
