Biology class dissects frogs

Many freshman biology classes have been dissecting animals during their units about vertebrates and invertebrates. Ms. Grace Cannon’s class dissected frogs on Friday, May 12. This lab allowed students to learn about the features of frogs, along with how they function. Lab groups were given the incentive of extra credit for finding certain interior parts of the organism, such as the brain.

Freshman Nick Austin said, “It was a fun time dissecting them, and I also think that this helped me a lot to understand our current unit.” For the next test, students must be able to describe and label the organs of these amphibians.
