Freshman Will Sherer and freshman Cole Chapple hold up a “May the Fourth” sign to celebrate Star Wars day.

The annual Star Wars Day took place on Thursday, May 4. This date is considered to be Star Wars Day because the iconic phrase “may the force be with you” is parodied to say “May the fourth be with you.” Students at McIntosh were well aware of the cinematic day as well, and some gave their thoughts and opinions on the “holiday” and how they celebrated it.

Sophomore Hannah Elwell said, “I think this is a cool day especially for Star Wars’ fans to celebrate the legacy of this great movie.”

Freshman Tylar Davis said, “I think this holiday is celebrated every year because of how good the movies are, and it’s just a fun event and day.”
