Sophomore Kody Stephens experienced a shark attack as he was vacationing on Daytona Beach over spring break. Kody was bitten in the foot while swimming in chest-deep with one of his friends.

Kody said, “I felt something bite my foot, and my friend and I got out of the water and my foot was bleeding.” The paramedics who treated him were unsure of the type of shark bit him. Kody said, “Next time I go to the beach, I will be more cautious.”
