McIntosh cast and crew of ‘The Women of Lockerbie’ earned second place at GHSA AAAAA state championships at Perry High School on Saturday Nov. 12. Senior Kenzie Knudson earned ‘best actress’ for GHSA AAAAA in her performance as Olive Allision in the play.

Kenzie said, “I’m incredibly happy that I got to be a part of the show. Thanks to everyone who was involved for making such a great script come to life.”

Senior Sophie Roggermeier, stage manager for the performance, said, “It has been a great privilege of mine to work with some immensely talented thespians these past three one acts, and I am so grateful to have been able to end my McIntosh career as a part of the most successful McIntosh one act.”

The drama department’s success at this last weekend’s competition marks the highest award the department has earned at one-act competition. Previous accomplishments include earning first place at the regional one act play competitions in 2013 and 2014 followed by earning third place at AAAAA state  championships in 2013.
